This category is for people who have both work experience and skills needed in Canada. To qualify, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 67 on CIC’s skilled worker self-assessment test. This test gives applicants points for age, education, work experience, and proficiency in English or French, adaptability, and arranged employment in Canada. Currently, priority is being given to applicants who have skills related to the information technology and medical industries.
